13 - 3 - 3.....which includes a 5 game losing streak.
The 5 game losing streak was a funny one. Campbell finally cooled off after a legendary record-setting 11 game win streak and some folks decided to write him off completely as a potential starter and claim the team "has been exposed".

I can’t believe how salty Vancouver media is. Christ move on. If Edler didn’t want to fight he shouldn’t have stuck out his knee in the first place.

The Leafs got a guy in the offseason to counter everyone's favorite criticism of the Leafs "they're soft and get pushed around" and when said player goes out to fulfill the purpose he was acquired for now it wasn't apparently fair because the guy who cheapshotted our guy doesn't like fighting?

Simmonds let it be known before the season and many times in media scrums he wasn’t going to let this stuff go.

To quote from one of my favourite movies “Dr. Strangelove: Of course, the whole point of a Doomsday Machine is lost, if you *keep* it a *secret*! Why didn't you tell the world, eh?”

I *feel bad* for Edler. I feel worse for Hyman, I am thankful for Simmonds.

I guess I didn't realize this in the past because we didn't play them as much but my God is it embarrassing how much the Western Canadian team's media members fanboy over their teams. Good lord.

We've got Farhan Lalji crying in the mentions. Iain Mcintyre up in arms. Jeff Paterson ready to jump.

This is my favourite from a Canucks based blogger. All high and mighty until someone pulls the receipts.

Genuinely bemused by the reaction out of Vancouver today.

The same market/fans/media that have driven veteran after veteran out of town, now championing the idea of "veterans needing respect"?

It's laughable.

I guess.

It would have been better if Jumbo (old/fragile) or Bogo (hurt) did it but that's a nitpick at best.

The point was the message was sent and should be a lesson to both other teams and our players that dangerous plays aren't going to be ignored.

Then we have a worse team, and you want to spend that $5m on.....?
Reilly's expendable. Target Andersen's money and Reilly's money towards resigning Hyman, signing a 1B to tandem with Campbell, resigning Dermott, resigning Mikheyev. Try to resign Foligno.

Promote Sandin and Lilegren
