Galchenyuk better start improving. His stat-line hasn't been impressive last 10 games and I don't foresee him playing on the 3rd line. He could be out of the lineup when Hyman and Nash come back. Hell, Brooks is making a case on the 4th line.

I dunno, hard to tell how good the Avs (and Vegas( are though. They are in the weakest division, so lopsided with the Blues having fallen off a cliff and the bottom 4 teams are just putrid.

I mean, are the Wild (who were 35-27-7 and 2nd last in the central last year) really a 30-13-3 team? Blues/Yotes/Shark/Kings/Ducks have been a clown show this year.

I watched avs-stl today and avs looked very beatable. Maybe they are in rest mode though, idk.

He was booed and hit hard in his home return
then he gets hit by Kassian ( clean hit)
then a third liner like Perrault

I have no problem our players getting hit. Tonight's wasn't a clean one. At some point you have to screw the pp and just pummle someone
I am happy with the win but we could have and would have still win the game with Simmonds pummeling Perrault

We didn't even do anything on that PP.. Forget the PP, forget the 1 goal we are gonna give up. You can't let players just take freebies
Simmonds push him back but really didn't do much. That could have been Rielly pushed him back

But overall a very good game. We hit them equally. Wish we had more response, like a bad ass one
I am ok sitting Kerfoot next game in favor of Saboruin. Let him do something stupid. Stupid can be good sometimes

I missed this during the game. I love physical hockey, but I hate intent to injure plays. This is an intent to injure. This type of hit needs to be reviewed and the player held accountable. If nothing comes of this from the Player Safety group, the Leafs are left to determining retribution on their own. May 15th might see the ugliest game of the season.

Nice catch... that is pathetic. Bet Ehlers felt pretty stupid having the veteran Thornton chasing him around calling him out for the dive. Made a very public mockery of a embarrassing dive that otherwise would've probably gone unnoticed. Nice work Thornton!
