Not what I would call a good game, but games at MSG rarely are. Shit ice... feels like they are playing with a bouncy ball and guys are just randomly swatting at it. The guys found a way to not be chasing that one... I think that made all the difference.
Stolarz is really f***ing good. Game in, game out. Solid. Always gives the team a great chance to win.

Considering that Tanev was out and the Rangers are a desperate, though not great, team, it was a good job to find a way to win. Very timely goals to say the least.
Should be another desperate team on Sunday on a b2b. An honest effort in that one should start March out on the right foot.

Max needs to become like his dad, just become an animal, he shows off his workouts every summer. It’s in the genes. Become a forecheck monster, this guy is soft along the boards, turnovers every shift, doesn’t hit… he’s just a dude who looks like he’s skating but doesn’t do anything
He was good. Still fumbling passes a lot... but outside that, solid. He had a shift there in the third was was just jaw dropping. His work along the boards was just beautiful. Nice to see. A lot of Matthews game is so subtle sometimes.

Pens are awful. I'd rest OEL for both the Pens and Sharks games. No reason why they can't beat both those teams if even half of their D are AHLers.

I think Timmins has played himself off the team. Guy is such a tease with his hot starts and makes you think he's cleaned his game up and then just forgets how to play hockey and can't make 1 good play really.
Great stat. And you know the next time it happens , whenever that is, it will seem like we do it every night here.
