Is this pipeline you refer to a pipeline of goalie prospects?

Dubas drafted Hildeby and Akhtyamov, he signed Woll to the extension, he even traded for Murray.

I am not sure what your comment refers to.
I hardly think that pointing out that Dubas trading for Murray makes your point that he built our goalie pipeline.

The fact he felt that Samsonov and Murray were our goalies, as well as the Mrazek fiasco further illustrates my point that Dubas has poor judgement when it comes to goalies. Add to it Campbell and Jarry in Pittsburgh……,

As for drafting Woll, Hildeby and AA: all taken in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Do you really believe Dubas sat there and drafted every player?

Wes Clark gets a lot of credit for his drafting here, and Dubas immediately scooped him and gave him a promotion.

I will easily give Clark credit over Dubas when it comes to drafting goalies.

Base on his trades, it’s painfully obvious Dubas has no clue when assessing goalies.
Sorry, I don’t give Dubas any such credit.

I don't get it. I was responding to your post where you said

"Treliving has given us league leading goaltending and a pipeline in 1 season that Dubas could barely comprehend"

I was simply pointing out that Tre isn't directly responsible for any of the goalies in our pipeline. You actually said he built a pipeline that Dubas couldn't comprehend (?) but the pipeline was drafted, signed and developed under Dubas.

I also said "EVEN Murray", so it wasn't "making my point" on pipeline. It was an organizational depth comment.

The Leafs had two different All Star goalies during Dubas' tenure. It turns out one was physically glass and the other was emotionally glass.

I am not saying Dubas did a great job with goalies, it hurt us most years. I don't need to be a revisionist with history to make this point though and that is what I am calling you out on here.

Fair enough point made.

Until your post, I was not aware that AA and Hildeby had been in the organization for that long, so that is a lack of accuracy on my part in my post.

Credit to Treliving for bringing in Stolarz and keeping/building our goaltending depth, and credit where it’s due for the goalie pipeline: to the scouts who drafted them.

Cheers.

Yeah! Signing Samsonov and Murray prove that somebody has poor judgement in goalies! Treliving would never do something like that!
Draft a bunch of good goalie prospects that are doing well? Who cares! Somebody else must have done it.
Bring in NHL goalies that have great seasons or multiple great seasons? Who cares! They didn't play great 100% of the time.
Signing one half of our current tandem to an amazing league minimum contract? Who cares! Because... I.. uh.. reasons.
Sign a backup that's had a good 12 games? Praise him!

Man, is it ever refreshing for someone to say "my bad" as you just did, instead of digging in and dying on a hill for no good reason.

Np. All good.

Yep, Tre gets full marks for Stolarz. He also signed the recent Will extension which could be another stroke of brilliance if he can stay healthy.

It will be interesting to see how he handles Woll, Stolarz, Hildeby, and Akhtyamov over the next couple of years.

It appears to be an area of strength for the organization. Hildeby has to be re-signed (RFA) this off-season. Both he and AA need to get 40 or so starts this year and next somewhere. Do we dare trade from an area of strength?
