Usually a Captain rallies his team with a big play, a big hit, a good scoring chance, some energy... Tavares does what he does EVERY f***ing game... skates through 3 players, turns it over.

He's f***ing done. His best days are long gone. I've watched enough of him through 33 games and much of last season to see he just doesn't have it anymore.

Awful captain, has zero f***ing hockey sense and is just... useless.

Yeah, Tavares has steadily been declining each season. 4 more years with him.

I really think that Tavares has gotten old...fast.
If you didn’t know who he was you would probably think that he’s a third line centre.
His cap hit is going to hold them back for the next 4 years.

People always saying Marner stirs the drink, but as soon as Matthews goes cold Marner is a non factor. I think Keefe needs to shake up the pairs for a bit at least. It's just not working.

Stats have leafs ahead in shots and we most likely have higher possession and quality of shot chances

Issue is this team doesn't have one good finisher right now

Thst includes Matthews. Without him shooting and his confidence gone he is irrelevant out there

Joe and Wayne dont look very effective

Kerfoot/Engvall/Mikheyev almost always fail to convert chances

Matthews/Marner/Jt didnt have any accuracy in their attempts

Spezza/Nylander(though not today)/ Hyman and Galchenyuk have been alright to good since the Oilers games (Gally only had a few games but still)

Way to many underperforming players right now.

The leafs completely outplayed them, but that's because Ottawa is tired and suck a, terrible combination. Leafs played like ass with no urgency.
