There was nothing special about those games from a Canadian point of view. They were special from a Swedish point of view because Swedes could attend in person. Otherwise, are they are really different than if the games were played in Detroit and St. Paul? So,I expect the league left it up to SN whether they'd be regional or national games and SN did not want to waste national games on games at 2 pm ET on a non-holiday Friday and 8 am ET on a Sunday.
