I know.that ROR and the other additions need to play key leadership roles and help.drive the bus by example. Their presence will be important come playoffs.

The team has to move past play time and get ready for Prime Tme. Even guys like Simmonds can stll play a role, I'm not convinced he can't, simply by his disposition and being aeound the team if not playing.

No there is not. If there was such a thing as ties then there would be no winner and when you win in overtime or shootout it goes in your win column not a tie column.

Nobody ever says now that we're heading to OT, we need to at least lose and we get a point.

Cliff notes: you get a point for being tied after regulation, you get nothing for losing.

Yes you get a point when the score is tied after regulation but the game is always played until a conclusion is reached and 1 team loses and one team wins. people Can call that point whatever they want but the fact remains that in every game one team wins and one team loses.
That is my point to the other poster when he claims there is such a thing as a tie game when actually there is not

On a real note though that sucks, he’s probably the biggest difference maker between the two teams, I think we go punch for punch offensively and defensively, but if vasy is back, Samsonov at his peak is probably still a tier below. Vasy is in another class

As long as we agree that you don't get anything for losing and therefore there's no such thing as a "loser point", that's fine.

Just remember boys, we still get have a very rested, very motivated, natural born leader waiting to come back any day now.

O'Rielly is a true difference maker. An impact player and someone who will turn tides in battle for us this post-season.

The guys are no longer boys, they are men now. They have failed enough times to finally lay it all on the line in the heat of the moment.

I see us striking first, taking first blood and learning our lesson of never taking your foot off the gas.

I agree with that 100%. The only thing you get for losing in OT or the shootout is the sucky feeling of Losing. I take no solace in the extra point
