Defensively illiterate maybe? I don’t think he reads plays. I think he instinctively reacts with as much athleticism as he can to any given situation when there’s a defensive breakdown... He’s going to try and get back in a hurry to try and put out a fire but never mind reading the play, angling a body, knowing where the stick should go etc.

but the whole team was firing on all cylinders for the most part, until he came back... first game he came back, he was the cause of two goals... he sucks

Our team sucks if our stars aren't scoring every game. Our stars were scoring a lot during that stretch and our goalies were playing out of their minds and saving our asses many nights and won us games. Team defence isn't that bad but our goalies have gone back to their normal ways and it shows the last few weeks even before Rielly came back.
