If we're looking at the top-6 strictly, it's closer than we think; if we're looking at offenses it's not even close. The Leafs have an exceptional top-4/5 that our complementary players feed off of. Thornton is flirting with a point per game this season which out-produces guys like Statsny and Dubois but look - he's not even in your top-6. Then there's Spezza's 16 pts in 25 games which also outpaces the aforementioned Jets. Add to that Matthews playing at 80%, Tavares struggling to convert.
Hard to pick but if the cap hits
Are factored in, one might give
The edge to the Jets.

AM should council with Phil Esposito and Tom Kerr about scoring in the high slot
Leafs should then install AM in the High slot between the circles and let him rip them from their utilizing his great shot with both sides of the net available to him ...

How dare anyone be skeptical of a goalie who's been mediocre since the 2019 All-Star break, and has been slightly below league average (again) this season. The nerve...
How dare anyone not blame the 4-5 idiots that cant do anything simple like clearing the puck out of danger, the nerve.

Criticism is fine, but if you havent noticed, the constant anti-Fred takes are beginning to get more and more silly

This wrist injury is really starting to concern me.

I understand a guy wanting to work through something, but a wrist or ankle is near the bottom of injuries one should have nagging. It would be best if he just sat until fully healed.

I suppose he and the medical staff know best. I just hope they know what they are doing. We need him healthy come playoffs.

Their PK is 25th in the league since the start of the 2019-20 season and Hakstol is the coach running it. Their PK was 10th overall in the league from 2016-17 to 2018-19 despite worse defensive cores and Babcock being Babcock.

It certainly isn't all on Andersen.

PK since Keefe took over:

- 5.37 expected goals against per 60 - #1 in nhl
- 7.21 goals against per 60 - #16 in nhl
- 4.34 goals against per 60 with Campbell
- 7.39 goals against per 60 with Anderson
- 9.22 goals against per 60 with Hutchinson

This year only:

- 5.17 expected goals against per 60 - #4 in nhl
- 8.17 goals against per 60 - #18 in nhl
- 4.38 goals against per 60 with Campbell
- 7.89 goals against per 60 with Hutchinson
- 8.90 goals against per 60 with Andersen

It's mostly Fred. With a dash of Hutch.

Thankfully they have some extended breaks within the next 2 weeks.
