The part I really hate about these last few games of the season is injury worries.
Considering we are already dealing with some, we don't need anymore.

Apparently Bourne said yesterday on their show that if the Leafs play a man short tonight they are then eligible for an emergency call up for Sunday. That would be helpful. No idea of true or the rules around that.

We really don't need to be overtaxing anyone in these final four games. Still going for wins, yes, but not at all costs. Like, the opposite of that stupid 70 goal chase last season.

Just win tonight and take some of the pressurer tomorrow's game.

Then go steal at least one point and put all the pressure on Tampa to run the table.

Here's hoping the Florida/TB game means something for home ice.

Both teams are better at home

Just win both games this weekend (regulation, OT, shootout, whatever) so we can rest guys for the last 2 games. 2 wins of any kind clinches the division 100%, would be great to have our key guy rested and healthy for game 1.

If they win today and tomorrow, that’s at least 5 days off. The playoffs are such a grind, and everyone is nursing injuries at this point, 5 days of rest can make quite a difference.

I remember last year after Matthews had his 66th goal, I said he should just stop chasing goal #70. We all saw what happened next, he got injured in the Detroit game and physically hasn't been the same since.

They would also be two back to back wins against playoff teams. I’d rather beat these guys and keep building steam than Buff/Detroit but I’ll take any W we can get.

Exciting times though. Can’t wait for tonight. Types of games we wait all year for.

I read an article on that and as far as I know... yes they are eligible to call up a guy for Sunday if they play short tonight.

Seems like they may want to take a look at situations like this in the upcoming CBA negotiations.

It seems really silly not to be able to have an emergency call up. Now Leafs are possibly risking injury by playing certain guys too much. I'm guessing Marner fills in a bit there tonight. It'll be interesting to see how they balance that out tonight.

It won't be an easy game either. Columbus is up 3-0 after 1. Habs are going to be coming out of the gate looking for blood.

I think only Columbus can realistically catch Montreal. If they do it'd be an epic collapse.

I think Columbus would be a tougher out too.

I don't know why people keep saying this 2 wins does not clinch the division they need 5 points. They are tied in RW with them now which is the 1st tie breaker 3 wins for Tampa 2 wins for the Leafs Tampa has more RW.

Leafs Therapy Regulars,

I will not be around tonight to help you through a loss. It’s just a regular season game. The Leafs have already clinched a playoff birth. Good teams lose games. If you think a loss is devastating, just think of how bad it is for Habs fans.

Anyway, TOR has to play well. They also have to be healthy. They have to beat all the teams in the playoffs.

I saw a YouTube video about Leslie Nielsen a few weeks ago. I never knew this: He was actually a serious actor but when they put him in Airplane! he was so good at deadpan comedy it changed his career entirely. That's where Police Story and the Naked Gun came from. Love this guy. Never forget he's the guy that gave the hysterical woman the superfluous extra slap in this movie.
