The part I really hate about these last few games of the season is injury worries.
Considering we are already dealing with some, we don't need anymore. The part I really hate about these last few games of the season is injury worries.
I agree 100%Florida will obviously tank the final game if it can put tampa ahead of leafs.
I remember last year after Matthews had his 66th goal, I said he should just stop chasing goal #70. We all saw what happened next, he got injured in the Detroit game and physically hasn't been the same since.Considering we are already dealing with some, we don't need anymore.
Apparently Bourne said yesterday on their show that if the Leafs play a man short tonight they are then eligible for an emergency call up for Sunday. That would be helpful. No idea of true or the rules around that.
We really don't need to be overtaxing anyone in these final four games. Still going for wins, yes, but not at all costs. Like, the opposite of that stupid 70 goal chase last season.
Just win both games this weekend (regulation, OT, shootout, whatever) so we can rest guys for the last 2 games. 2 wins of any kind clinches the division 100%, would be great to have our key guy rested and healthy for game 1.
If they win today and tomorrow, that’s at least 5 days off. The playoffs are such a grind, and everyone is nursing injuries at this point, 5 days of rest can make quite a difference.
Or drops them to WC1 and avoids Tampa.Florida will obviously tank the final game if it can put tampa ahead of leafs.
I read an article on that and as far as I know... yes they are eligible to call up a guy for Sunday if they play short tonight.Considering we are already dealing with some, we don't need anymore.

Columbus plays the Caps at 12:30 tomorrow. A regulation loss for CBJ and the Habs will clinch ~4 hours before game time.
And after humiliating us like that and lighting a fire and giving us something to prove, we'd probably let them stomp all over us.Florida will obviously tank the final game if it can put tampa ahead of leafs.
I don't know why people keep saying this 2 wins does not clinch the division they need 5 points. They are tied in RW with them now which is the 1st tie breaker 3 wins for Tampa 2 wins for the Leafs Tampa has more RW.Just win both games this weekend (regulation, OT, shootout, whatever) so we can rest guys for the last 2 games. 2 wins of any kind clinches the division 100%, would be great to have our key guy rested and healthy for game 1.

There's no cap for a callupAmatuerish stuff.
Just call up Villeneuve. He's had a very good season down there
Wow, that makes it even worse...There's no cap for a callup

We are right up against the cap, we can’t call anyone up.
