I’m worried about Sandin versus big, physical teams.

Feels like he struggles to handle that which may pose problems come playoff time

Matthews is a two way monster whose 'below average' year is on par with Sundin's best season. We're spoiled cause last year he was out of his mind...enjoy your toys while you have them.

If anyone out there thinks JVR is the answer to the 2nd line issues, you need to watch him tonight. Lazy, slow, disengaged. That's the last thing we need.

Sundin was on pace for more points with less help
 
You would have to be literally braindead to think JVR is the answer to anything at this point in his career. My good god.

Toronto will have more than enough cap space for a Patrick Kane, especially at a discounted cap hit.

There's few scenarios where I would want to target JVR at the deadline.
Either a strong winger, or a great defender.
