Have to hustle my ass off at work to get out by 2. Call it a year and begin anew come 2023!!

Maybe a little day drinking at a local pub to enjoy the game

11am start here. Guess I'll watch it on my phone at work. Would PVR it but I've got family arriving today so no real chance to watch after work.
 
Really would have liked to see Hunt in today. Saying that, I was impatient to see Timmins. I can't help but think his slow move into the line up has helped him be successful so I won't question the methods but Hunt is someone we could use against a team like Philly. At the very least Simmonds should be dressed today.

Let's hope that Capitals game was just a blip for Samsonov and he bounces back. He was in a freakishly hot zone before that.

This is Philly so we should be good, as long as the Leafs players aren't looking ahead to the holiday break.

I'm out of work early for the holidays, but probably won't get to see much of this one. Going over to a friend's place and will only catch some of the highlights. I trust the Leafs will help guide the Flyers a little closer to their objectives in the Bedard sweepstakes. They're a Torts team and he'll have them work their butts off, this would be a classic trap game any other year, but I trust the boys now. This team has heart (all the Flyers have is Hart) and that's all we ever needed.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you lot. Y'all are nuts, but I love you all just the same. GLG!

I love "working" from home. Can't think of a better way to spend a work day TBH.

but, I honestly don't have a great feeling about this game for a handful of reasons:

-Last game before the holidays, with a 5 day layoff in between games after this.
-Probably a scheduled 3 full days off after this game
-Philly plays tomorrow as well, so they may not be as mentally checked out of this game.
-Philly is a bit of a bottom feeder. Something we have struggled to get up for in the past.
-Early start time means and early end time and a quick start to the holiday season. You know the boys will have plans made for tonight. Whether that is a team party, guys flying home for the holidays, or just family time. Either way, it will be easy to look past today's game.

Hard game for our boys to get up for when you consider the human nature behind it all. If it's a hard concept to grasp, just imagine how motivated you were or are going to be on your last day before the holidays.

I'd love for the boys to come out focused and hungry, but it wouldn't shock me to see the contrary TBH.

that all said, I will be very impressed if we see them come out and have another strong game. Because I see a lot of reasons to have a B-game right now

Most important thing for me is for Samsonov to go into the break with confidence. Hope he bounces back with a good performance

No reason to lose this one. Get the W leafs. Let's f***ing go.

Too bad Sandin is hurt but better to be on the safe side. Glad Benn is ready to step back in. Leafs have good depth on D so we're lucky there.

Seems like a team Matthews could get a hatty on.

A game that they should win, in theory, but this has letdown game written all over it given the circumstances.

I'm not expecting anything pretty today but hopefully the Leafs' elite talent can shine through and carry them to a win.

Yeah, this will be one of the toughest games to get up for this year. I'm not giving them an excuse, just stating they're really going to have to dig in here.
