GDT: Leafs vs Flames

I am sick of excuses, even the coach is being butter soft with his excuses. You knew what the schedule was months ago. You knew who was going to be in the 4 nations tourny. It's on them to be better prepared. But at the same time, a lot of teams/players seem tired. You gotta battle through it and not use it as an excuse. The players wanted this 4 Nations tourny, they wanted this condensed schedule. It's on them.

It's a joke. Berube should be fired already. The core should be broken up. It's not working and won't ever work.

The last 2 games were must win games. I am not sure what to call this one. We are desperately in need of some sign of life or hope. The Leafs were in the driver seat to win the division and have completely shat themselves and look like they can't execute the basics of the sport.

The Flames are the easiest opponent we will face over this stretch of games. If we can't look like a team who somewhat belongs in the playoffs this game...
It's a must win, mainly because it ends the losing streak. We need the big boy to lead them out of the mess they've gotten themselves in.

Once again, love the Amazon pre game. So simple yet so perfect, just get to listen to some music watch what pregame is actually like. 99% of Leaf fans have probably never actually seen one.

Not a ton of advertising and talking heads love it.

RSN and TSN would spend the entire time on Ads or meaningless banter.

Oh and not to mention the picture quality is like 100x better.

Domi as 3C just because the leader wants one of the best set up men in the league on his wing so he doesn't have to work so hard. Which is cool but not a strong leadership move. Id say selfish but lets just hope it works. One of the things it does is practically negates the 3 line, dunno maybe the 4th line can manufacture a goal, and JT and Will will put up a couple more.

In fairness, a lot of people were pointing out that they were getting some lucky breaks and were not playing all that well during that 5 game stretch.

All 3 teams were on hot streaks, and now all 3 have cooled off.

I still have very little "beleaf" the Leafs will win the division. But I still cling to hope somehow they figure it out
I think the standings will look a lot different about 10 days from now. Who knows, maybe Tampa ends up in first place.

Rielly averaged over a ppg in the Tampa series they won.
True, and I won't write him off until after the playoffs but lately he sure seems like and old/slow/fat version of what he was two years ago. I've always been a fan though and I hope he rises again!

Alright let's get this shit back on track starting tonight. Go Leafs Go
