GDT: Leafs vs Flames

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Andy P asked Matthews about Domi and Robertson and their great contribution to the game. Matthews brought up Robbie’s weird penalty and said something like “I don’t know what he was doing there”

Tough to ever beat Sittlers 10 points record, unless there's some major changes to the game.
It will happen one day. No one thought Gretzkys goal scoring record would be beaten. There have been multiple 8 point games so it is bound to happen.

I don't think Ottawa will pass either of them. Ottawa is on a nice little streak, but ultimately they are still a bubble team.
Then that makes us a bubble team as well. They've also been outperforming us by a fair bit lately, but then you could say that for a lot of teams.

Didn't Sam Gagner come close once? that 8 point night

That was pretty remarkable for today's age

Yeah, there just aren't games anymore where 10 goals are scored, not like the 70s and 80s. To beat it would take a minimum 11 goals scored and being involved in every one. Tough ask. Not impossible, but I just highly doubt I will ever see it.

Let's not get carried away with tonight's effort. That offside goal goes the other way we could easily be on the other side of the stick here. Huge huge break.

Question is? Who's the Leaf MVP? Nylander or the video guys?
