Something was up after he wasn't practicing with the Marlies today.

I didn't see this before I posted that he was recalled. My bad.

I wonder if he sees any game action with an easier part of the schedule coming up?

Unless there's multiple injuries, it seems unlikely. As far as we know, nobody is injured from the current 7 defenseman on the Leafs.

I hope he gets the whole game. It'll be nice to see more offensive zone starts and a little more skill to complement his skill level.

Thank f***ing god. I think he's looked surprisingly good in his callup so far. He hasn't looked like he has been struggling with the pace or physicality like in previous callups. He's just been on a line with next to no offensive upside. He barely touches the puck.

I think this might be the shot in the arm that second line needs

Sad that Kerfoot, who is having a career year (30 assists/2x last year) is not the answer. Robbie is a better goal scorer so who knows.

I love Spezza. I want him on this team as long as he can play. But I think it's time to give him a game off... maybe two, if the Leafs are healthy and they want to give Robertson a longer look.
Yup. I think with the cap room that they have now, I would give Simmonds and Spezza a game off and maybe give Anderson/Seney a chance they deserve.

Is Sandin hurt/sick?
He could probably use a night off anyway, he had a really tough time on Wednesday.

That's both quite the promotion for Robertson and (potential) demotion for Kerfoot (Spezza and Simmonds just don't log much in the way of TOI). I can understand wanting to keep the Brodie-Holl pairing intact, meaning either of the other two pairings will be in a state of fairly constant change.

Great to see Robertson get a shot.

Now let's stop sitting Sandin/Liljegren.
This BS of continuing to play Holl blows by mind .. da guys is BY FAR weakest skill level we have on defense .. da weakest .. his idiot level play will cost us more than Sandin's rook errors .. and ONLY reason why Sandin looked so so bad against Sabres was entirely because of Keefer .. colossal error by Keefer to play Sandin on 1st pair, on wrong side and with wrong offensive partner .. Keefer f*cked over Sandin .. just wrong very wrong

Hard to argue with any of that.
