Sure, none of it means anything when the puck is dropped for game 1. Still, you'd prefer the team to look like they're ready for the playoffs during the last few games of the season as opposed to the shit show our guys have put on.

Not sure why you think most Bruins fans would pick the Leafs to win the series, I'm skeptical.

Your comment that "their goalies are noticeably worse in the playoffs" is also quite strange. You don't think the last few games mean much of anything, but the handful of playoff games played by their goalies in previous years is meaningful? You're a homer and that's fine, so am I to a certain extent but let's not get carried away BS'ing ourselves. :)

Not even remotely intimidated by Boston anymore, nor should our players.

They do a better job preventing goals, we do a better job scoring goals.

We're physically tougher than them, mentally probably not.

Neither Boston goalie has ever performed well in the playoffs. Of course, those could have been specific circumstances with all kinds of reasons unique to those situations, but for now there is nothing to suggest that they will elevate their play in the playoffs. I think goaltending will be a wash. Ultimately, I think the Leafs' offense will win this series.

Like I said, the sample size is so small that counting on this is foolish.

I think that was a guarantee vs FLA.

Based on my tv guide I see the following:
SAT 5pm
SAT 8pm
SUN 1230pm
SUN 3pm
SUN 8pm

It may not play out that way, but BOS prob doesn't want a Saturday night game at home. I bet they have their eyes on the 1230pm start on Sunday.
 
On one hand, the Bruins don't have Bergeron or Rask anymore. This is a much better matchup than Florida who would've rolled the Leafs in 5 again.

On the other, literally the only thing the Leafs have better than Boston is the top 6 forwards. Bottom 6, defence, goaltending, and coaching is all Boston.

I honestly don't know who to predict in this one

It's not counting on it. It's more that for now there isn't evidence to suggest that Boston has some monumental goaltending advantage. I think it's basically just a wash.

There are 4 good to very good teams in the Atlantic and have been for a while. This isn’t news to anyone. We don’t need to “somehow” get past Boston. Perfectly capable of beating any team in the division in a 7 game series. And Boston being ahead of us (marginally I might add) in the regular season standings doesn’t make them favorites.

Boston is going to exploit one huge flaw and that’s for checking/blitzing the weak side puck moving D. Lybushkin/edmonson/benoit. Gotta be ready for that

Boston has the reigning Vezina winner who's likely their back-up, meaning they have another goalie better than him, and you think up against the Leafs bargain bin goalies it's a wash?

That might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this site

Throw the last few games out the window, and don’t really care they were 0-4 against Boston this season.

If Matthews/Marner and Nylander all show up, they can beat any team.

They have home ice and should be favourites:

Sportsbooks have the Bruins as the favorites to win the series.
  • Bruins to win the series: -125

We’ve been better than Boston since Jan 1 and much better since Feb 1. We also have an excellent road record.
