GDT: LEAFS vs AVALANCHE – DECEMBER 1st, 2021 (7:30pm EST on SPORSNET ONTARIO)

Great period by the Leafs.

Team is playing some focused and posesssed hockey right now.

Seems like more chipping and chasing, throwing pucks towards the net from all angles, just moving the puck more quickly and decisively while playing with the necessary physicality.

That kinda sucked, 0.3 lol

but boys are absolutely buzzing, willy with a rocket, Auston with silky silk mits, and Spezza with a greasy one

keep it up and it’s gonna be looking real good

Colorado is coming out flying to start the 2nd. The Leafs better be ready.

Leafs were just flying in the first. So much for the theory that teams returning from a road trip have a sluggish first home game.

Of course, it could catch up with them as the game goes on so I don't think this is even close to being over. The Avs have the ability to score a bunch quickly so let's see if the "new" Leafs are prepared to keep this up for a full 60.

In the last half dozen or so games, Matthews seems to have been handling and shooting the puck better.
Wrist is getting better I would guess.

Completely agree... they just have to remember they can't let up for that 1 minute even... especially at the end of a period.

In saying that. . Awesome 1st ... and they're always going to have f ups... just get back to it in the second and move on.
