Who would have thought that the combination of the Reilly suspension, Marner and Tavares getting sick and McMann getting an opportunity and forcing Keefe to completely blend every single forward line and defense pairing with the exception of the first line was the best thing that could have possibly happened to this team? Now it seems like he found the perfect chemistry with essentially everybody.

The only thing that really stayed the same was the first line of Knies Matthews and Marner

I think it's as much that as it is the team simply getting their legs under them. Far better to excel at the end of the season than the start of it.
