It actually irritates me that so many teams are not scared to play young D.

Yeah it sucks to see since he’s on the Habs but that guy oozes confidence, he’ll be great for them.

He's a sound D man. This backend will be solid and more determined this year. Already seeing more physical grind from Reilly and we are only 40 Min in.

Yup Muzzin too has been smacking people around. Just need Holl to wake up and the defense will be looking better

Need some better defensive effort from the forwards however

Some people call it like it is. There is nothing wrong with that. The Leafs were awful for a large part of this game.

Calling it like it is was saying they were awful, they were. Calling it like it is is not a referendum on the entire team at the end of the first period, that's just reactionary and stupid. I'm not happy and it's not a long season but that's still a massive overreaction.

And the Dubas/Keefe haters were f***ing salivating over that start and pounced immediately. Misery brings them pride, that's not normal.

Yes the Leafs have sucked but the reactions have been way beyond the pale of "calling it like it is."

Bogo, Vesey and Thornton look underwhelming

There was a lot of good things near the end there. Nylander with another great goal.

I have to tip my hat to the veterans though: JT giving Gallagar a shot, Simmonds with a fight, Spezza with some great play.

Simmonds drew a penalty = good. It helped us score a goal and created momentum. Positive value play. Good job buddy.

Simmonds fought = 5 minute penalty, threw two punches and is the reason for our comeback.

no one said he was terrible but a nothing assist and a goal that was all Marner on a 2 man advantage is hardly dominating the game

I think the third goal highlights again the chemistry Tavares and Marner have.

I think going back to Matthews-Nylander & Tavares-Marner makes sense.

Been saying it for ages.

Matthews-Nylander and Tavares-Marner should be the go to lines

Tavares-Marner with Hyman

and Matthews-Nylander with Mikheyev would be pretty solid.

Jumbo can rotate between Matthews and Tavares line especially during the offensive zone faceoffs

Get a Roku stick. Solves everything and it is pretty cheap. Have had no issues connecting wirelessly.

I actually have an IPTV box but it was nothing but a pain with freezing or not working. Even after using different providers.

I dont think either Simmonds or Thornton have been anything other than average so far so I dont want to rule them out yet.

I do however want to see Bogo & Vesey dropped before the next game... They can keep fighting to get back in and maybe they'll get better, but no way Robertson and Lehtonen/Sandin should be sitting next game over those 2 based on today.

I really hope both Sandin and Lily's confidence isn't blown. If they were losing places to players who are as good but with NHL experience or better than fine it makes sense; but they are losing the spots to morons like Holl and Bogo
