he’s in a slump. It happens to players. It doesn’t matter how much money you make. Also I think the coaching staff has to own some of his slump.

they’ve taken him off the top power play which to me was stupid from the get go.

He had an amazing season and they broke up him and Marner. That is frustrating. Tavares plays better when he doesn’t have to do the zone entries. Tavares is a finisher. That’s why as much as I love Matthews/Marner, they need to split them up and have Marner drive the play for that second line. We will get more out of Tavares

Yup. Our team play has been par for the course really. They've made Campbell's life pretty easy.

Freddy’s awful goaltending has really over shadowed just how good the team defense has been this year. The vast majority of nights this team has done an excellent job at keeping the shots to the outside and preventing scoring chances.

I think they need to simplify. Transition quickly with speed in clean straight lines, and have designated trigger guys to wind it up.

Agreed, entries aren't great, but I like the big 4 setup with Marner low rather than two even units. Maybe that'd change with a different top setup on PP1
