I think he's had to many hits to the head,..over his pro career. He leans forward when he skates, more than the usual skater, and that makes him more apt to head hits and contacts. I've seen him get his head clipped many times playing for the Leafs over the years. He got rocked in Boston, last year I believe,..and staggered trying to get to the bench. But,...he continued playing in that game. Which is not a smart thing to do. He also seems to have lost his acceleration. In his first couple of strides,...he used to be one of the fastest skaters in the NHL. But I rarely see that nowadays. Having head/concussion issues,...could explain the disappearance of that once stunning acceleration.
