NHL Unveils Toronto 2024 NHL All-Star Game Logos - The Hockey News

The event will be held in the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Scotiabank Arena for the first time since 2000.

DAVID ALTER • 1 HOUR AGO

During the 2023 NHL All-Star Game in South Florida, the league announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs would host the 2024 edition of the event.

Now there is an official logo.

The NHL unveiled the logo of the event during NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman's media availability ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers.

The red, white and blue pay homage to the flag of Toronto. A yellow star and black NHL shield were added to the color palette and "will be the foundation for upcoming All-Star brand extensions," according to the league.

Outside of the obligatory Maple Leafs in the foreground, it's interesting that the font for the 'TORONTO' portion was selected as a tribute to the 'TORONTO' landmark sign located at Nathan Phillips Square.

What's also interesting is that there will be two different logos used. One for Canada presented by Rogers and another in the United States will be presented by Honda.

With Rogers' official colors being red and white, it makes the bottom of the logo look quite busier than the U.S. logo.

The original plan called for no NHL All-star game as both the league and NHLPA had hoped for a World Cup of Hockey to take place around that time. However, that has been deferred until 2025 at the earliest.

During his media availability on Saturday, Bettman said discussions continue to try to get the World Cup of Hockey back up off the ground.

f*** the ASG. It sucks.

I'm so sick of this kind of response anytime the All-Star game comes up.

The ASG isn't for hardcore fans. It's for new fans, it's for kids, it's for advertising, and it's for the local city it's in. And that's just fine.

If it's not for you, then move on. I don't like country music. But I don't go on the internet and find discussion forums to point out that I don't like it. I just ignore it, because it's not for me.

Yet every time the ASG comes up half the thread is a chorus of "i don't care" and "asg sux". Why put in the effort to say you don't care? Just move on.

f*** the league. Should've had it 6 years ago for the 100th. With how often the NHL f***s us there's zero upside to hosting their stupid and lame events to make them even more money while Parros and the refs think of new ways to f*** us.

It's now primarily for the NHL to entertain the league's sponsors.

Seriously bro? The irony is wreathing.

Same. I go to hockey forums to talk about hockey, not gimmicky advertising ploys.

the fans are fed up with the league. Esp the leaf fans who feel (are) they constantly slighted by the league, only to be returned to when Gary’s pockets are anything but brimming

Why put in the effort to say you don't care? Just move on.

Why type a novel to tell people to shut up? Just move on.

I'm all for anything that creates more Hockey Related Revenue which is what the Salary Cap is based on.

Higher Salary Cap is good obviously. Being in Toronto will create a fair bit of HRR from the ASG, I probably won't watch but it is good for the league.....Same with that World Cup thing in 2016. It sucked but created league revenue.. Gary and Co, don't get any money from Olympics, that's why they don't care about it

To be honest I wouldn't be opposed to having it permanently in southern markets so they can have all the outdoor events and panels etc. mid-February in Canada isn't exactly the place you want to plan a vacation.

It's like the Super Bowl in the NFL. They don't put it in places just because it's their turn, they rotate 7-10 places. No one wants to go to Buffalo in January.

Does anyone truly care about this?

It might be nice for some families to take kids down to see their fav stars, but the ASG and AS weekend has been a dud for like a decade, with John Scott's year being the notable exception
