Post-Game Talk: Leafs tie Season Series with Senators

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
Sorry off topic but had to chime in

Just love that show and I’m in my 70’s. It’s very clever and funny

But then again…I still enjoy getting high and grow some really good stuff. :)

IMO the Sens have out played the Leafs in 7 of the 9 periods, to your point we simply have more individual talent. maybe out played are the the wrong words, carried the play is a better phrase.

Carried the play but with very little results all because the Leafs are dictating the style of play, Ottawa can carry the puck all they want but it’s the same thing every game, low scoring chances with shots coming outside the circles and from the wings. Leafs aren’t giving Ottawa any prime chances in the middle of the ice. Also it’s usually one and done. Very rarely does Ottawa get 2nd or 3rd chances in a shift

Good luck against Florida. Not reason to be truly excited since we knew this would happen. The talent difference is just too high.

Fans are happy now but an early loss to Florida will quickly destroy these boards. Not saying it's 100% just the most likely outcome.
This is silly. If you think the Leafs will roll over against Florida (or Tampa, because I don't think that series is close to over yet), you are still suffering under the bias of prior Leafs teams. This team is not those teams. The Leafs will beat either of those teams by playing the exact style they are playing now.

I missed most of the trash-talking about how bad Tkachuk is and how overrated he is since I couldn't join the GDT...

So now, I'd just like to say that his celebrating after a TYING goal is hilarious, and he might just be the worst captain in the league from a leadership perspective (maybe skill) that I've seen.

His hockey IQ is negative 5, all he does is run around, make borderline plays, and yell really loud, terrible player.

Stutzle sucks too.

About the game, ugly game again, but if they keep winning and Stolarz keeps playing like that, awesome.

Playing like this against Florida will be a tougher win for sure though.

I give Benoit a lot of shit (that he deserves usually), and he was terrible last playoffs (not his fault, was playing as a #4), but he has been great this series, so he deserves some praise.

I was pretty happy with Patches after being off for so long. Looks like he is going to be a good addition to that line, he was hitting anything he could last night. Overall good game. Wish we were getting this shit done without the OT, but hopefully the guys get a bit of a rest after the sweep.

4. Alex Galyenchuk isn't manning the point in OT.
It's funny, I was thinking about that goal when we had Benoit leading the rush for Domi's OT winner.

A handful of fans were so upset back then that a defensive D (BOGO) left the blueline

I don't think they will roll over, but Fla would be the toughest test from the East.

Vegas would be tough, but they havn't looked great yet against Min.

One step at a time. Would be pleasantly surprised if the Leafs sweep, but dispatch Ott in 5 and then get ready for the next round. Don't start looking ahead boys.

A healthy Florida team would for sure be the biggest threat in the East, but they can't seem to avoid injuries.

The last five plus years of life on earth have been a complete shit show of uncertainty and despair. With as much crap as the universe has thrown at us, it fills me with a deep sense of comfort and familiarity as a millennial Leafs fan to be watching Toronto beating Ottawa in the playoffs like it was still 2001.
Wish I could like this post a hundred times.

We revel in the comfort of familiarity.

Like dunking on our little brothers from the nation's capital.
