Great bounce back by Sammy - that's a relief. Really pays to have a guy like Schenn in the lineup when Tb tries to get goony.

Great response. They kind of needed one like that. Big guys were great especially Rielly and JT. Samsanov was fine. He's still moving around too much but better this game.

I'm telling you, Marner and Nylander showing up in the same playoff game is a guaranteed win. And I think this is the season it keeps happening consistently.

This is the most confident I’ve felt about the team during the Shanaplan era. We’ve still got the all world skill, but adding Schenn/Acciarry/ROR/McCabe is a whole new vibe.

Feels really good man. Maybe that first game is exactly what we needed to get this team in the right mindset to win this series. We're a better team, now they just need to go out and prove it. Leafs in 6!

Nice to response with a blow out of their own. Impressed that in the second, they dominated but gave up a Leafy rush chance goal, only to respond by scoring 3 goals that period and continuing to dominate.
Marner with a big game, my captain O my captain with a hatty. Knies is going to be a player. Sammy with a rebound game. Couldn't script it much better than this.
Also love that they respond in the third with a 5 on 3 goal in the third.
Tampa naturally tries to start shit in that third but I thought the Leafs' held their own and didn't get suckered in too much (asides from Holl). Perry and Maroon acting like goofs. But they did ignite their team that should wake them up for next game. They're such sore losers, but guys who hate to lose more than win are hard to play against.
I thought the refs handled the third period really well.

I gave the leafs a ton of grief after game 1..which they deserved..but they deserve an equally big Hurrah today..great response..now keep it up..show the killer instinct!!
Big 4 outside of Matthews were beastly today, particularly Marner and JT, both guys I am man enough to admit I criticized a lot for not looking good enough in big moments. They were both amazing today. I’d like to see more from Matthews still, he was still below what he is capable off.

Me too, I've been critical. Captn JT and Captn Morgan were both outstanding tonight. Marner as well and while Matthews didn't score, he had a decent game I thought.
