yeah they were a little bitter. they were talking all kinds of shit about the Leafs defence and Samsonov when they were up 1-0, talk about highstepping at midfield.

Didn’t know the eddy olzhyk or whatever is such a leaf hater, inappropriate joke about Gio’s record and overall pissy attitude even for the colour guy. Leafs must have made him clean the washrooms while he was playing here.

Nice way to start off a 5-game road trip out west. Asides from that shite in Chicago last Sunday, the Leafs have neatly won 4 of their last 5 and 3 in a row now.

They certainly can get some wins against these Western Canadian teams .. Hopefully they can go on a nice run.

Challenging end to the season here. 14 of the last 22 on the road. Games against Boston, Lightning and Rangers on the road in their last 5. They should be humming by the playoffs.

If it has not become clear to everyone, Marner is the driver of this bus as far as sparking offence goes. While great, it is somewhat concerning Matthews cannot get more done on his own. Anyone have a stat breakdown for Matthews when he is not on the ice with Marner?

Thought all four lines were at worst good.
Sandin struggled early coming back from injury, but settled in as the game went on.

If I had to pick on anyone, it would be Kerfoot. His speed is appropriate for that line, but he is just so physically weak compared to the other two. He still had a decent game, but I wouldn't mind seeing an upgrade there. Could move Kerf's money out and bring in someone cheaper who could probably play better on that line.

Got good goaltending tonight. Mathews, Marner etc good offensively. Defense & most forwards didn't lay a glove on anybody, allowing way to many chances against. Effort was good tho. Need more physical ability in the lineup that can play. One addition won't be enough to win in the playoffs.

Samsonov looks like he’s not giving the net back to Murray without a Hella fight. Good to see.

Marner! All game, all incredible, multiple hi-light reel set-ups, breaking up Kraken offensive plays all night long and basically just Mitch being Mitch, oh and 3 more assists adding to his team lead.

Matthews 2 nice goals, some heads up defensive plays, was skating a little better and seemed more involved.

Acciari is as good as we could hope fore. Maybe you don't need ex-captains to teach you the way. Let 4th liner show them. It's not like he is doing anything super spectacular, but the regularity oh boy, you know solid check/play is coming every time...


Matthews is back baby !!! or not he might be just doing pre-playoff wrist checks and will cool it down a bit again. Either way he'll score in SC playoffs.
