It was an exhibition game as far as I'm concerned. That first period against the Islanders will be interesting.

Usually 1st game back is a shitshow. Im glad they kept it together. Obviously when you dont have to worry about every shot going into your net, you can concentrate on playing well

He collects all his points in blowouts, when the goals dont matter
He did this in the playoffs too. Against Tampa in both 2022 and 2023 he racked up a bunch of points in 5-0 and 7-1 wins and made it seem like he had a respectable stat line, but once he got to the closeout games the well ran dry as usual.

This next week will be interesting in general. Islanders in Long Island where we usually struggle, Avs who are a top team with our nemesis Georgiev in net, Oilers who are red hot and Canucks as well. Can't win em all but for the love of God please beat the f***ing Oilers.

The little California Disney warmup we were in to start the year is officially over

Leafs took care of all the teams they should of. Really happy about how they've been playing.

Even the Carolina loss they played well.

It's been 5 games now where they've had a nice effort and the big boys are doing their job. D has been looking much better too. Benoit has been a nice surprise.

Jones has been excellent. He's at 12 games now too so he gets considered for all stats on nhl.com which is the minimum requirement I'm pretty sure. It's a silly thing but good to see him up there even if it's just 12 games. Leafs need him to keep playing solid until Woll is back.

Most likely the big man in net on Sunday too for the back to back so that'll be interesting to see how he does in his first game.

Keep it going Leafers. Beat up on the Islanders on Thursday.

Go Leafs Go

Edit: it's 13 games not 12

Go Leafs Go

Even the loss against Rangers, Jones was a stud. 4 goals were deflections
He has given the leafs every opportunity to win games pretty much in every start

Season would have gone out of hands had it not for him

Love Benoit find another hidden jem Treliving
1.75 mil average @ 2yrs
We need one more dman next yr
I guess the proof is in the pudding, it’s possible to find a solid D man for cheap, not so much in finding an 80, 90 or 100 point plus man.

Good professional performance

The Sharks are bad and we never gave them a chance to get into the game, that's how you beat bad teams

I have nothing bad to say about anybody, in fact all the boys put in good efforts

Keep it rolling guys but I wouldn't be shocked if were a bit flat early against the Isles, those guys will give an effort which is more than I can say about SJ

Really wish we could give Holmberg a bigger role so we can see what he has to offer.

He won the conn smyth of the SEL as a 20 year old when his team won the championship, that’s nothing to sneeze at.
