Leafs always play better when they play physical and have a presence. Tbh I thought that could be Reaves but evidently not. I wouldn’t give up on the idea of having someone like him, just not him…

Absolutely sign me up for tough players that can actually play and will fight when needed. But he can’t or won’t do either of those things.

What a pantload.

Here's what I can offer:

1) He's somehow hurt..?
2) He's in a bad emotional place where he thinks fighting is all he's good for and so he just doesn't want to anymore..?
3) He knows his conditioning can't handle a tussle anymore..?
4) He turned pacifist in his old age..?
5) He thinks he's a player now..?
6) Leafdom has turned him..?
7) He thinks the menacing stares from the bench are enough of a deterrent..?
8) He just wants to cue Playlists and play DJ in the room now..?
9) Planning dinners for the boys is a full time gig..?
10) Who could possibly know..?

I think it’s point 1&3

It was pretty cool last year when he wrecked Tanner Jeannot and fought all the top heavyweights; the team obviously loved it too. This year it looks like his contract is winding down. Glad they signed him, definitively a part of the most cohesive leafs team I’ve seen in decades.

He was still-13 but yeah at least he fought a couple times.
He was also in the lineup when Marchand injured Liljegren and Rempe jumped up into Lybushkin’s head and did nothing about it.

What are the benefits to sending him down? We still have to eat 500K isn't it?
At least we would have a roster spot for someone who isn’t a net negative to occupy.

He should be in the line up next game.
Oh yeah cause he was so effective today.
Did nothing to Hathaway for injuring McCabe. Did nothing to Tippet for boarding Rielly and obviously nothing to prevent it.
Was on the ice for a goal against and none for.
Has less fights this season than Pontus Holmberg.

What is it going to take for you to see how useless he is?

They should hold onto Reavo for a little while longer, probably through to the playoffs.

I could see this being his last year though. Next year you can probably bury the contract for a 100k anyways.

Yeah I think he is pretty much useless but his teammates like him and I don’t want to add any negative energy to the room of a team 1st in the division.
As much as I’d like him gone it’s probably best to sit him in the pressbox and let him play once every 10 games. Then tell him in the summer he has played his last game as a Leaf and see if he wants to retire.
The only caveat being if you can get someone else to take him at the deadline the rest of the team may understand that and avoid anyone getting mad.

he does nothing but some say he intimidates
LOL sure….
Didn’t stop Tippet from boarding Mo did it?
