He's been a solid addition to the backend. Just keeps things simple, knows his limits and stays within his game. Perfect 3rd pairing defenseman.

I think it's to early to call him a solution but he's been solid for sure.

He and Benoit have looked very good for what they are 6-7 defenceman, have absolutely no problem with either on your bottom pair in a platoon. Both are ahead of Timmins.

Well this is how he was described back in 2014

A strong defenseman that can put up some points, but plays more convincingly in his own zone. Likes to get involved in the rough stuff and has a pretty good physical game. Strong positionally, but could work some on his skating skills. (EP 2014)
