Not sure what you expect from a non blue chip prospect at that age. I think if he played last season during his draft year, he likely would have put up some respectable numbers.
You’re probably right surprised he didn’t go ushl or over seas to get some games in

Leafs made only 3 draft picks last year, and only have 2 picks in the upcoming draft.

This is one way to help fill these emptied out draft classes, with undrafted signings.

His signing the equivalent of a late round pick in an entry draft.

He was ranked:
2021 NHL Entry Draft: Ranked #157 by McKeen's Hockey
2021 NHL Entry Draft: Ranked #103 by NHL Central Scouting for NA skaters. (which doesn't included Euro players)

God forbid management looks for things other than size with their draft picks. Gimme a good player over a big one any day
seems like mgmt is targeting size or should i say lack of size with our draft picks

and they'll be deemed good players regardless of there size when they make the Leafs

but hey we gotta support the team so who gives a f*** if we draft almost nothing but small players because that has to be the best way to build a team am i right ?

?

If a prospect makes an NHL team then they're probably a good player considering most prospects regardless of their size don't get that far....

what's the question mark for ?

the poster i replied to insinuated our prospects have already proven they are good players and better than any larger player that we could have selected before they've accomplished anything and i correctly explained to him that has yet to be determined

They are targeting SKILL and UPSIDE. You can trade for size later.

and the rest of the league is targeting UNSKILLED players without UPSIDE ?
Some teams are sure. It's no secret that there is a bias league wide and amongst fans towards bigger players. Being big doesn't really do much to help you contribute in the NHL unless you can do other things too. In the 2016-2017 drafts we took a lot of big guys that amounted to nothing.
