Never root for a loss to the Leafs, send all those fans home unhappy again, break the streak.
If they're gonna do it against anyone it'll be the Laffs. I haven't checked the stats but they feel like they've had the upper hand in recent years. Even when the Sabres suck and the Leafs are up the other end of the table, it seems like we win more than we should.

Uhh we just lost to them 2 games ago didn't change anything.

True, but yet another disjointed loss keeps the conversation going outside of Buffalo. As the season progresses media coverage will rightly turn to the better teams but for now there's still space to have look at what's going on in Buffalo and what the one constant in all those years has been.

Somehow in the 20s, despite losing the last three games against them, we still have the better record.

Pegula has shown to have an incredible tolerance for losing. Since he’s bought the Sabres they are the worst team in the history of the league....
wow - didn't realise that was actually the case - I had it in mind that some of the early years were verging on near-competence and that the composite record might have them above the Coyotes, but here are the figures since that first win against Atlanta in February 2011...

Only the Sabres could be 33rd in a league that only has 32 teams.

What's just as sad or more sad is that they are one of three teams with sub .500 points percentage, and the other 2 teams are an expansion team and a team that was in forever ownership uncertainty/dysfunction.

And they're worse than those 2.

I wonder how many Toronto fans there will be vs Buffalo fans in percentage.
On Schopp and BD yesterday they were saying might be upto 90%. That's real embarrassing, but I don't blame STH for trying to get some of their money back on the season.
