GDT: Leafs @ Rangers - 7pm - SNO

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Yeah, I don’t mean it in a negative, I think it just brought more clarity. And for any of us who are married or with a partner, we know the hell it is, when our partners are not happy.
Didn't take that way, just acknowledging even the coach alluded to it. I think he's happy to be here, but the home stuff is trying. He's a good, pesky player, I still think he adjusts by playoffs and is a useful add.

And that’s what we paid the premium for right? That he’s going to make a few big plays in the playoffs and provide a nice depth scoring touch in a tight/tough game

He might turn it around, but he's the same in the playoffs and regular season, he's a mid-level 3rd liner, I hope we finally get some heroic moments from our depth, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Good road period. If they can keep that up they have a good chance of coming out with the two points.

Stolarz was good and also shakey.

Domi line on for an own zone faceoff is never good lol

VERY strong 1st period, it's a shame they gave up a last minute goal but they got it back and I feel like the lead is deserved.

Need another 40 minutes Just like that.

I don't get why people would not want Tavares back...30 goal scorer every season don't grow on trees...

I think people have unrealistic expectations of what a 2C is... having said that, Tavares is great at the right price, but he likely wants to be here, so hopefully they can work on something team friendly.

Tavares also isn't flashy, he is just efficient, so I think he gets some unnecessary hate.

Short term I'd be ok with (3 years max). I remember Robert's still being effective at age 35 and 36 so perhaps JT could give us something like that.

Friendly reminder that serious hockey teams do not deploy a Holmberg on their 2nd line.

Florida currently has Mackie Samoskevich on their second line... not much of an upgrade.

Tampa has the ghost of Gourde on theirs.

Oilers have Vasily Podkolzin.

Some players can be a passenger in the top 6 to allow more depth scoring.

I can live with your other two examples but Samoskevich is a hockey player.
