Hab fans trying to make this a statement game for them. Same hype as pre season when they expected their prized prospect’s to pound the baby leafs. Leafs humbled them very quickly. Tonight will be no different 4-1 leafs

Odd they would scratch Benoit in his hometown tonight especially if they were adding grit to lineup. Don’t like that decision

Every team that plays the Leafs wants to make a statement, especially when playing them on HNIC. Add in the fact they’re a traditional rival or if the team is full of Ontario players.

The Canucks who have been trash proved that last Saturday.

This season particularly hasn’t been kind to the Leafs on Saturday nights. They are 5-7-1 so far.

To be honest, I’m expecting a loss or an OTL. It’s mid-season, the Leafs traditionally are garbage just before Christmas break and into the first two weeks of January, most of them just want the season to end already and figure out who they’re playing in Round 1.

All the more why I want them to win the Atlantic this year and change the mood. It’s been like this every season…they’ll get hot again in Feb, then wind down .500 in March/April and finish 2nd or 3rd in the Atlantic.

They need to break this habit.
 
Had to live near Montreal for 7 years of my life. Never again. I won’t learn French, you can’t make me. Why do we waste so much time and energy saying everything twice to appease this group. GLG

Matthews starting to look like himself again, tonight would be a nice time for a big game from the captain. He can dominate those kids, remind them of the division hierarchy.

Oh f***... ya mon... that was super Rick James level "Cold Blooded!". That was for a veteran guy with a proven history, finally being back in that shite city he played in. Ya that was a wee bit worse f' sho!

PK has been bad too. I’d rather have Benoit on it than Timmins.

Habs started heating up when Laine returned.

Werenski is on fire and with Monahan out, their kids heated up. Marchenko has more points than Willie. Such a shame they lost Johnny Hockey.

Dunno who needs to hear this but Habs are shiteaters. You don't need to beat every shiteater, but all shiteaters you need to beat.
 
I really hope the Leafs can scoop up the deuce that's there for the taking. There's a reason one team sits atop the pile and the other is digging itself out of the fertilizer pile. We owe them big time, so let's give it to them big time. I wouldn't be against the Bud's spanking them by somewhere in the 6-2 range, if that doesn't happen it's just as good to take them 3-2 in regulation. No use letting them have the moral victory of taking us to o/t and putting a single in their pocket!
