Everyone focussed on ROR and Schenn.

I felt our biggest UFA mistake was letting Acciari go.

Still think it was a mistake. He’s always stood out in games against us and was a good addition last season.

Knies scored the opening goal so to blame him for $22 million in linemates not playing to potential is a little gross.

It's good you use that goal, because it occurred when the lines were changing.

Knies has not been good as a LW1 overall and it IS hurting that line.

I'm not really bashing him. In my post I implied that Knies will dominate in the bottom 6. I don't think he's ready to be beside matthews and the matchups matthews faces.

Matthews is fine. His wingers are totally dead 5v5. Knies needs to go skate circles around bottom 6 forwards and non elite defenceman, and marner needs to simply wake up and start dominating games.

Marner is certainly not doing much, but Knies is doing more than Matthews

Matthews and Marner should be setting the pace and sheltering the rookie, taking him under their wing. That's the bar for veteran superstars. We shouldn't be throwing a rookie under the bus to let those two off the hook for their casual drop-in play style. What do they need, another $11 million guy to start them up?
