Our PK is in for it tonight i dont know why anyone would think other wise.

It's not even Crosby, it's Neal and Malkin. Crosby has been quiet so far, which could make it even worse as he always rolls us

That grabo quote made me lol at work.

I like that the Grabo line's been called out. Not because I'm a spiteful ******* but because Grabo took it like a professional and it'll hopefully light the fire for them.

I don't know why people are so worried

Have you seen Fleury's record against the Leafs? Let me tell you it's not even half as good as Miller's, so don't worry.

As long as the game is close, Leafs have the chance to win it. Fleury is not that good of a goalie.

Of all the people I've seen suit up for the Leafs, none needed to be told they played poorly less than Grabovski. What's strange is that he didn't have a good game against the Habs, which is almost unheard of.

Surprisingly, he has 5g and 9a in 15 games against Pittsburgh in his career. Impressive.

My biggest worry. The leafs have a tendency to aid players out of their slumps, make terrible goalies look like all-stars, etc..

Lost a few games? Play the leafs.
Going through a slump? Play the leafs and score a hatrick.
Are you a terrible goalie but need to look like an all-star for that 5 year extension? Play the leafs.
Thinking about a divorce? Call the leafs associates.
Just got a speeding ticket? Call GM Nonis and get your ticket waived.
Having trouble in school? Yo, Hanta, need help with Math bro.

How can anyone hate the leafs?

This. I remember last season or the one before that, Gaborik was going through like a 10 game goal-less drought and the broadcasters would not stop talking about it the entire game.

He scored four goals on us.

According to Jonas Siegel of TSN Radio 1050 Toronto, it's not clear-cut yet but James Reimer appears to be the starter for the Leafs in what would be his season debut. If he does in fact get the call, Reimer would be starting for the first time in exactly 10 months, dating back to March 23, 2012. He has a 2-0-1 career record against Pittsburgh, shutting them out on February 1 last year.

-per TSN

Tough team to start the season against this would be interesting.

major line changes
assuming Gardiner plays, hopefully he can increase offense productivity

it's interesting how one game we had AHL'ers and the first we had strickly NHL'ers via komisarek

still with 2yr stats...

Man I usually disagree with Zeke but he's bang on with MacArthur/Phaneuf.

Grabovski has been awful and is the main reason that line struggled.

Are you insane? I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that Grabo has no faults because he absolutely has to pick up his play, but he is far from the main reason that line was struggling. Kulemin is a huge reason for their struggles. There have been countless times that he's been soft on the puck and lost it on the boards, gives it away at inopportune times, has shown zero offensive ability, no hustle and has been one of the main reasons we have 3 GAA.

We always play them hard.
Reimer has only lost in OT/SO to the Pens
He has 1 SO and a .922 against them.

This is the first REAL test of the defensive system.
Do not Sid and Geno light up, everyone?
