I honestly don't think most people here have watched florida play this season. I think they will be surprised by what they see tonight, even with a completely depleted Leafs lineup.
Watched them shutout Winnipeg a couple weeks ago, they looked pretty good.

Watched them shutout Winnipeg a couple weeks ago, they looked pretty good.

The problem Florida has been having, is defensively, and goaltending. Outside of that game against the Jets that they shut them out, their Save percentage the last 7 games, was .750, .840, .870, .891, .895 and Knight with a 0.931...

When your average save percentage, is below 0.870 over that stretch, you aren't going to win many games. Bob hasn't been good at all this year, and struggled even more recently. Like I posted above, tonight's result will likely depend more on Florida's defense, and goaltending than anything else.

Robertson getting top 6 time again. They’re giving him the chance and if he continues to put up goose eggs it’s on him at this point.

With 1 point in 18 games he's averaging 0.055 PPG. Over a full 82 game season that would work out to 4.6 points (rounded up).

That is not just bad puck luck or a few bad bounces, that's comparable to the worst PPG players of all-time. I'm talking like Stu Grimson/Wade Belak-level production.

I think this'll be nearly impossible tonight. We just need to make sure we stick around for as long as possible.
Nearly impossible? Florida is giving up 5 a game it feels like lately and the Leafs have been playing really well (Sens game aside) I don't think it'll be a cake walk but nearly impossible is just ptsd talking (understandably so). Our D and goal tending will shine again.

I think it was wise to have Matthews sit this one out. Florida is going to hack and whack and chances are that Matthews would have his back injured again (if that is the problem).

Aybe Berube thinks thatYes, he can carry his own line... but this is like being asked to carry boat anchors. Roberson one point, Holmberg three... Nylander TWENTY FOUR.

If these two can't get something going on this line..... I'm not even sure what to say... Nylander might end up having to do it on his own again.

Sarcasm I assume? Or do people still somehow believe he's useful?
Maybe Berube thinks that he is at thus moment he is the best player to get the other scoring is playing right now.
Willy is flying out there.

He won't be useful until December 5th.

McMann, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Dewar, and Lorentz...that's about it. Holmberg and Robertson are borderline NHL'ers.
That's all they will need tonight with how Florida is playing. Marner, Nylander and Tavares will likely win this game on their own.

I think Leafs have a decent chance tonight.

I expect the goaltending and defence to continue to be pretty damn good.

We'll need some secondary scoring and stay out of the box.

Let Florida sink themselves.

I also think Berube is trusting Willy , you don't see those crazy moves he likes to do aat the blueline.
Where when they don't work is in the back of our net .
As Berube says you play the right way you will get big minutes.
Keep it up Willy.
