Don’t really care either way. The goal is to win 4 series. Not just 1 or 2. Might have to beat both if you want to go all the way anyway. Doesn’t matter which order.
The order really does matter though. Injuries play a huge factor in a teams ability to advance. Panthers are a very physical team. I'd rather go into round two after playing the Bruins. The deeper into the tournament you can get with a healthy group the better chances you have, not to state the obvious.

A series against Boston would be a war, but it'll be even more physically demanding against Florida.

Forget the start time, it’ll be closer to 8pm than 7:30 anyway

THE GAME IS ON TSN f***ING PUKE!!
I hate the start time, 10pm is not often seen by me, getting old.

I’m not a sportsnet fan at all. Personal I wish that TSN had away more games than they do. I find TSN intermissions much more entertaining and they don’t constantly talk about how great the leafs opponents are either. To each their own but I definitely enjoy TSN more

Disagree. We beat them in recent memory and we should do it again convincingly. In public the Panthers are confident but they are secretly struggling with confidence. Put doubts into their heads.

There were down 3-1 to Boston last year, a team that had the best regular season in modern history, still came back to win it.

Beating them in a regular season game isn't going to do anything. In fact, the bigger ass kicking we give them the more they'll realize they have to bring their absolute best in game 1. Plus, as we've seen repeatedly over the years overconfidence can be just a big of a handicap as lacking confidence.

In any case, I'm not inside either teams' heads so it's just theory but I will just agree that I wouldn't mind at all if the Leafs thrash them tonight just so long as they do the same when it counts.

If he plays the full game tonight, play him tomorrow. Clearly resting our stars have not worked in 7 years lol. Change it.

Like the D pairing, each one has a bruiser, one even has two and they play well together. Hopefully Lil can excel come playoffs, this could be his coming out party, just has to keep his confidence up.
This is our best defensive pairings you can put together with this roster. Wonder if Keefe finally agrees going with against our possible playoff opponent.

For additional context Lucic, Chara and Iginla were on their playoff roster 10 years ago. Not just on, but playing a major role

Yeah, exactly. Whatever the Big Bad Bruins of the 2010s were, that's not Pastrnak, Marchand, McAvoy, Carlo, Coyle, Zacha, Lindholm, Swayman and Ullmark with Montgomery behind the bench. It's a serious Eastern team but you need a healthy amount of disrespect going into that series.

Only if you mean absolutely goon the hell out of them. Don't personally care about the score. Let them know it will be a war this year.

Maybe Mitchell should sit this one out.

It feels like playoffs has usually flipped this script

Im pretty sure we had a dominant record v. MTL until our series with them. Then back in the Sundin days we all know the Ottawa story. Boston dominated that Kessel team but we put up a decent fight in playoffs

That team is also coming off a historic choke job vs the same team we lost to in the first round blowing a 3-1 lead just like the 2021 Leafs, leading to a Cinderella run by a massive underdog. To suggest they're going to swagger into any series, self-assured and cocky they can beat Toronto is a joke. They also choked away a Presidents Trophy and might lose ground to Florida and lose the division tonight. They got their own problems and the Leafs need to treat them with a healthy dose of disrespect.

Really hoping to see Brodie done here.

It’s Liljegren’s turn to take over and run with things, and he needs the same kind of leash that Brodie was given.

Lying if I didn’t say I am also looking to see if Detroit and/or Washington win to knockout out the Dubsburgh Spezzguins. Trying to be the bigger person but so far no bueno….

I think Washington is my favorite team to make the 8th seed. Don't want anything good for the Dead Wings (Larkin already won his cup on Saturday in OT), and I was not impressed with Pittsburgh on the ice last week with Crosby's whining and flopping, or off it.

Sure looks like it, there is no reason to play McCabe tonight unless this is his pairings imo.

Start your stop watch, and let’s find out!

Currently 2 minutes past game time
Puck drop is never at the tv time in any rink. They have anthems every night and sometimes they have ceremonies.

Game is always 7-15 minutes from tv start.

Looks like this one is 8 minutes, pretty normal
