True story:

Back when the ACC first opened I was on a tour of the facility. Mike Johnson and Tie Domi were signing t-shirts they handed out. Tie signed mine and Mike wouldn't even acknowledge me when I asked a couple of times. It was just after Mike Smith traded Jason Smith for a really low draft pick for some reason (always wondered why). I said to Mike Johnson "Hey Mike, I heard Mike Smith traded you for a 14th round draft pick!"

The death stare I got was what you'd expect. My response was "No, no, I love you (but then I liked Jason Smith too...)"

Handles puck like he's 4 feet tall to begin the season. Doing it again so far tonight.

Becomes league mvp for majority of the games after.

Plays 3 feet tall in playoffs.


Hopefully the third one doesn't happen again.

I think Marner has a crisis in confidence and slow start ever single year. There was an article in his pre draft year about how he had to go home and get his head on right in London in either 2014 or 2015 and just came back fully charged up and dominant. Makes no sense.
