To be fair, when Tavares signed that contract, we should've known the last few years were going to be tough. It didn't help that the salary didn't increase and our previous GM traded away 1st round picks all the time. 2 more years until $11M of Tavares contract is up. A down year might not be too bad. Maybe we can finally get that RHD to pair with Rielly through the draft....

Tavares early season hasn’t been scared of a scrum, maybe he’s not throwing bone crunching hits but I don’t think a captain has to do that. He’s contributed offensively more than Marner as well

Reeves was bought in to stop the shit that happened to Knies in teh playoffs where bennet just rammed his head on the ice and there was no response.

If you are looking to Reeves to change the outcome of the game by leading the charge with excellent offense, defense, motor/skating then you are looking at the wrong thins man

I don't know, just don't have much faith in TJ Brodie, Klingberg, 40 year old Gio, Lily etc. to take us to the promise land. Especially in front of Samsonov.

My biggest issue is and hss always been goaltending. In particular Sammy. Way too inconsistent. Ofcourse alot stems from the defence(including forwards coming back) but I find he gives up too many saveable ones.

Whats better usage in this case?

I think our team should play more balanced. Give Domi 14.30min, and Knies 14.52 min. They has to play more. They both have played 12 min averige. Its low as F for a forward. We have used our super guns so much early season. Marner 23min etc. Matty 22min. We will change it for surely.And win a lot of games.

We should know what Reaves is about and does, but im disappointed in Domi and Bertuzzi. Both had a number of fly bys with a chance to engage. Bunting seemed to give more of a spark and play with more bite, even if he was a chihuahua

That has never really been Domi's game. Not really Bertuzzi's either. Neither guy is particularly well known for initiating contact.

In any event, I'm not worried about this game. I think we will see a big second and third period of offense from the Leafs. Florida doesn't have the personnel right now to defend a lead.

Frankly nothing is working right now with this team. Bert and Domi are massive disappointments. Gregor and Reaves are unremarkable fourth liners and Kampf is lost playing between them. Defence corps is soft and old, the rookies haven’t been able to carry their pre-season play, Marner is MIA, and Samsonov sucks ass.
