The leafs have done a good job capitalizing on our mistakes and Bob has looked old this series.

Bad pinch? Breakaway.
Clogging the lanes for our players to shoot/prevent rebounds.
Their star forward is playing like a star.

Panthers aren't being blown away, but just look the regular season Panthers. Running at 50-75% at times and that when it bites them in the ass.

Sergei Bobrovsky inexplicably obtaining an NHL starting job for 5 consecutive years is up there with trading Crouse for cap space when they just could have LTIRed Bolland in things I'd like to know that I will never get an answer to. Granted, the Crouse thing was probably because we had an HF boarder running the team that year so this is even more hard to explain. Tonight we get to watch one of the worst all time lace them up.

And before you say in b4 shutout, the only way this guy gets a shutout is if Florida plays an excellent smothering game, because if Toronto gets more than 3 high danger chances they're scoring. He's incapable of playing well.

This probably reads as me being a hater but I have absolutely nothing against him, just the fact that maybe the 134th best goalie in the world is somehow ingrained as a starter defies logic and I want answers.

To me, it’s pretty simple. Defense is not good enough this year. Bob hasn’t looked very good, but part of that is because the whole team don’t play good defensively.

Nothing to do with last year where a 1 goal lead was pretty much a locked win.

It can’t be fixed in the middle of a series. We’re not going to play great D all of sudden. Maybe for 1 or 2 games, but not enough to win this series.

Best way to bully Bob is to sit him. It’s a no lose move by the coach, if Vanecek wins it was obviously a good idea, if Vanecek loses it was Bob’s fault because he shoulda played better. Do it Pauline!

Oh boy, Sergei... this guy, folks, he’s not just shaky—he’s practically allergic to pressure. You watch him in net and it's like he's out there guessing, hoping, praying nobody takes a shot glove-side, ‘cause if they do? Forget about it. Might as well put a beach ball past him.

And have you seen him when a rebound kicks out? I mean come on—he’s spinning, sliding, crawling like he’s Australias breakdancer out there . You’d think he’s playing pin-the-puck-on-the-goalie. It’s ridiculous. Big league goalies track the puck, they hold their ground, they dominate. Sergei? He looks like he’s doing yoga in slow motion. That butterfly style? More like caterpillar—no wings, no saves, just soft goals and regrets.

And those third-period goals? Total joke. You’re tied or down by 1, crowd going wild, and boom—he lets in a muffin from the blue line. Fans in Toronto are chanting his name like they’re thanking him. I’m telling you, he’s the Leafs' secret weapon! Could be on their payroll the way he plays against them

They’ve been UNBELIEVABLY lucky. That Domi goal happens maybe 1 time out of 100.

They have. "Bounces"/luck has been on their side, but they've taken advantage of the Panthers mistakes and capitalized to date on them,

Hopefully the tide turns. Just found it funny the Panthers had a spell of offensive zone time in the 2nd, but had a few bad passes kill some possessions with their top 6. But Lorentz can toss Domi a perfect pass on that 2-1.

i feel like ive never seen them complete a perfect pass in over a year

Well, one step they have to make to improve their play is they have to be more direct. I mean literally, they have to skate towards the net until somebody stops them. If no one stops them, then they have to try to score the goal themselves, shoot it on net.
Usually it doesn't hurt them too much, but they have to stop with the over passing. Usually just skating hard will get them the middle of the ice. But Toronto's not going to give them that. Skating hard is not enough. They have be direct towards the goal.
