Just read the GDT over on the Isles board. It’s so sad how bitter they still are over Tavares.

Haven't seen much of the Isles this year. Seem pretty meh. Decent record I guess but their D is hurting like ours and Leafs forward lines look much deeper. Leafs should win this one with a solid game again from Sammy.

Their top 2 defensive defesemen are injured, so it would like having Brodie and McCabe out (except that Pelech and Pulock are much better than Brodie and McCabe). Decent players in Barzal and Horvat, but the rest of the forward group is atrocious. Sorokin has a tendency to let in stinkers at bad times, and as I expected his numbers have come way down this season. My bet is that Samsonov outplays him tonight.

Leafs are 2 and 0 since I've had the flu. Today, I've got the runs - which more often than not indicates the end of the stomach flu - so they better take advantage of the last of the flu like symptoms. GLG.

Beating Nashville moved us over .500 in regulation hockey for the first time in ages. a loss tonight and we're back at .500 so a win would be nice.

6 years laters and Islanders fans are still salty about Tavares. One of the best days on HFboards ever as a Leafs fan. I imagine it is similar to how it would be to win the cup on here. Argue with fans for a year that said we had no chance of ever signing him, then leaving them speechless and making them flip to the "well everyone knew he was going there". LMFAO.

Hope he gets 1000 points tonight.
