19-20 would have been close if not for the pandemic shut down.

Yeah 19-20 was the closest thing they’ve had to an off year and they still finished with a record of 36-25-0-9.

It gives the Leafs some options to rest some guys(less mins), try some new lines and hopefully get no injuries. They shouldnt care who they play first round. Florida,Boston, NYR or whomever. Just get prepared mentally for the real season now.

Amazing to think this is the Leafs' 8th straight season making the playoffs, (2017-2024) considering they only made it once (2013) in the 11 seasons beforehand. (2006-2016).

If only they had a coach who knew how to use his players will he sit Reaves while his players get injured and no one to back them up
