I remember getting a guitar when I was 10 .. Loved the gift .. Except I couldn't get the patience to learn how to play itWish I did, I'd be so much better today ... Been playing for only 5 years
Yeah same, my uncle gave me and one of my buddies guitars one summer when I was 13.
I didn't really start putting effort into really learning to play until I was like 16 but my friend played like everyday since then.
Now he's insanely good at it and could figure songs out by ear and all I could do is play just a few songs from reading tabs

I did a few tennis camps growing up. Usually play a couple times in the summer, but didn't play at all this past summer.
Golfed once. Disaster.
Just going back to music for a sec. A big reason I didn't get far with guitar is my parents (well my mom) thought it would be a good idea to get a classical guitar teacher. I don't like classical music. I'd bring out songs i'd want to learn, like green day songs, and he'd teach me for a bit, but then just go right back to classical music.
he made me sit like this

I WANTED TO ROCK

I'm horrible at golf, besides driving the ball.
I remember my first time golfing in my gym class, I was the first up so I took the shot and it was pretty good. Couple guys were saying to me "wow you're so good."
After that it took me like 7 shots to get it into the hole while everybody got it in like 4
