Busy with work lately, had a lot of stuff to complete before Christmas time rolls around and clients take off for the break. Plus haven't really been able to relate to a lot of the posts in the LL so just better to be quiet and observe, I guess.

So folks, what would be some nice places to visit during the winter? I prefer natural beauty, or old school-ish towns (like Quebec City).

Right now, plan is to do Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec City trip. I want to add one more stop beyond QC. Was thinking NB again, but the good stuff there is in the deep East, which takes too long.

Also, what are everyone's plans for the holidays?

My heart's still in Quebec, there's tons of old churches that give you that feeling.. Especially at night. If you want you can check out museums too, the rave one is pretty sick and very popular.

Ile d'Orleans is a sick place for you to go to for the old village kinda feeling, if you want to see a beautiful sight head to Parc du Mont-Royal. Honestly, every little village there is beautiful and makes you feel at home even though it may be your first time visiting.

Any of you guys hear that Valve is making a gaming system? That could go very well, seeing as how Steam is the most popular videogaming program to purchase and play PC games. I think they could do well. They already have a huge fanbase too. If you want to learn more, just google Steam Box.

I grew up in big cities too, but my liking is actually quite contrary to that. For a good time, I love to head out to the country/more natural areas. Unfortunately Ontario isn't that great of a place for natural attractions. I might head out to Berty's town with a job sometime if possible. Alberta/BC is the kind of place I'd love to be in.

In Toronto, my favorite thing to do is to hit the beaches (Brimley/Woodbine) and just chill there during the summer. The full walk on the Woodbine beach boardwalk is pretty awesome.

The theaters there are a different experience as well. Small places, with almost no people most of the time. Great place to chill with friends, as you guys will probably be the only ones in the theater

For winter, my favorite thing to do is to head to small towns like Stratford, Fergus, and such. These places look absolutely stunning during snow season. Best place to chill out in a cafe.

I also love taking random late night drives through the country, like those one lane roads. It's pretty creepy, but that adds to the fun. Went out last night actually around 1230 to Stratford through local roads via about 5 smaller towns. There was literally no one except for us on the roads.

If you're willing to go way out east you could always check out Halifax. Good amount of history there. I'm also planning on doing a solid amount of nothing for three weeks. And of I go to write my final exam of the fall term.

If you like towns like that, go to Owen Sound. And they really go ham on their Christmas decorations downtown. Like around the harbour thinger dt they have like a whole bunch of displays of sick christmas lights that they turn on at night. Pretty dope.
