There will still be lots of good players left, IMO.
yeah, as I said earlier we will be taking roughly 12.8 players off every team.

Okay, and just so it's clear, if someone is listed as C/RW, I can have them as either C or RW on my roster?
Once the lockout ended I didn't really care that much cause I didn't follow the negotiations at all (it was just annoying/funny to see some people getting mad), but I think I'm finally pumped. Regardless of how they do I guess...
One of my favourite photo's from last season:

So pumped for JVR![]()
Me too man. More than any other player on this team. He's ready for a breakout season.

If they play him alongside Grabo and Macarthur/Kulemin I think he might be able to breakout. Like a line of JVR-Grabo-Kulemin or something for example can provide alot of secondary scoring, 2 way play and can play a bit physical too.
I hope Franson plays for us this year. He's a solid, young player who, if he improved his defensive game a bit, could be top four.
So many players I want but I won't be able to get them all
Like I'm trying to think who I would take late first/2nd/3rd round but since it's my first draft I don't know if they will be around haha. Maybe I should do some mock ones...
TBH I'd rather see him with Connolly and Kulemin or Kadri and Kulemin. I think that'll work best.
Something like:
Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
Kulemin-Grabo-Macarthur
JVR-Connolly/Kadri-Frattin
Komarov-McClement-Brown
Iunno.
I hope so too. I personally think he already is a top-4. He's smart, strong, physical, good shot, etc.
Didn't give him a fair opportunity really, hopefully he gets it now.
Too many line combos. Our 2nd and 3rd lines will include any of the following:
Grabo
JVR
Kulemin
MacArthur
Frattin
Kadri
Bozak
Connolly
Nobody is really set in stone to be playing together too among those players.
His defensive game was suspect at times.
But I agree, I remember a few times last year when he absolutely manhandled other players. He's deceptively strong for a guy who looks lanky.
His outlet pass was also kind of meh. It's hit or miss, kind of. I recall several times that he just made boneheaded outlet passes. Probably had something to do with the amount of pressure he was under ('If I **** up I'll be in the press box for two weeks!').
He was totally jerked around, it was ridiculous. He was very noticeable when he played, and yeah, his shot is an absolute beauty.
Don't get your hopes up.
Wonder if Carlyle tries Connolly with Kessel this year.
