Berube worse than Keefe? Many people are saying.

Honestly whats the difference between the two? The strengths are kind of similar, and Berube does the same silly stuff. Lorentz on the top line is equalivent to Simmonds in the top 6.
I will say both systems have good structure, but under Keefe during the season at least, you felt the team could score goals in bunches and weren't out of a game. They don't even do that now.

Honestly, that’s on Matthews. A guy the same size as you comes to rough you up, and if you don’t have the self respect to even engage in a little stick work, maybe you should get picked on. Even Phil Kessel would whack a guy in the ankles for getting too close.

Cup winners Crosby and MacKinnon stick up for themselves. Even Steve Yzerman did.

I don’t think either of them are able to motivate this team. Until changes are made at the Shanny level and management are brought in that actually care about winning nothing will change at ice level.

I'm starting to have my doubts about Berube. Lorentz on the first line because he wanted someone to create energy? I thought Knies was creating that energy and playing the best hockey of the season. The problem has been his stubborn insistence on keeping Matthews and Marner together.

Nylander who has been sooo disinterested is given 22 minutes tonight? Where is the accountability? Rielly, with another -1, played over 21 minutes, and that's without PP time inflating his minutes.

Something drastic has to be changed by Berube. Don't be misled by being first in the division, we haven't played well as a team in over 2 months with a few exceptions. We accomplished alot of that with brilliant goaltending by Stolarz and great defence by Tanev, who btw, was even.

The problem is there isn’t enough money left over to pay for better depth because the clowns only care about money not winning.

And yet somehow we can afford a 4C that makes more than anyone in Florida’s bottom-6 last year. No problems affording a 3.5mil 3C with 3 goals that doesn’t know where the D zone is. Florida had Montour Bennet and Verhaeghe less than a mil more a piece but I guess Domi’s just as good as them.

Yes no shit the top salaries should take less but unless you have a time machine, not giving replaceable nobodies top dollar + trade protection would seem to be an important step.

Rielly because he’s older, he sucks, likely to get worse and it would be cheaper. It could happen because they’d likely have to eat part of his salary if he agreed to waive his NMC. I haven’t checked Nylander but buying out Rielly really helps them in the shorter term. According to Cap Wages they save about $20M off the cap in the next five years but it costs them about $10M on the cap in the following five years. Mind you by then the cap will be $110M so it’s definitely worth considering.

We were losing most of the game. Our offensive guys are gonna get more minutes when we need goals. The problem is our offensive guys aren't doing the offence thing well when needed and struggle to even get shots on net and extended offensive zone time when they are losing. This shouldn't be an issue with how much they get paid.

Ok but their bottom 6 was both better and cheaper than ours, we could swap bottom 6s and had millions to spend on D. How are we unable to afford depth because of the 11mil?
