I said this team was a mirage when they were winning so many with Stolarz as a Vezina candidate. Missing Stolarz and McCabe and the team seems woefully inept on the defensive end of the ice. Woll has to be lights out to win.

Will owners finally throw in the towel? Naw, they will re-up for season ten of the Brady Bunch.

Scary how thin the team depth is.

I've been saying it for weeks. If the goalies don't play Vezina level, the team does not win.

Do we have any comeback wins this season? If we do they are in the distant past.

Edit: I can think if a Nashville game...

This team looks slow and lethargic. But key to the game was twofold: Woll and that soul crushing first goal and the pathetic call on Tavares. Without flawless goaltending we can’t expect anything different from past years because this core ain’t changing.

Honestly, that’s on Matthews. A guy the same size as you comes to rough you up, and if you don’t have the self respect to even engage in a little stick work, maybe you should get picked on. Even Phil Kessel would whack a guy in the ankles for getting too close.
Kessel had a nasty streak from time to time for sure. All stick work though so not particularly courageous.

Matthews fears a serious injury. The teams core is run down and uninspired too often. They know deep down they don't have the horses to win in the playoffs. The spots won't change so the teams makeup better.

if we had a compliance buy out who would you all use it on?

Nylander or Rielly
It would have to be one of the highly paid forwards. With Tavares contract ending, not him, and honestly he's done his part.

So one of the other three. Rielly only makes 7 and has shown an ability to step up in the playoffs.

I am going to play crazy man and say Matthews lol
