or they're working on something and they needed to have Petan on the ice for someone to have a quick look at

I really hope so ...
We really need to make a couple of moves
All year it’s been apparent , but our record and play has camouflaged it a bit ..
But there’s no question in my mind , and last night it stuck out like a sore thumb ...
We need at least 1 for sure high level Left winger and possibly 1A and 1B , but definitely 1 two go between the 1st and second line .. and if only one , bring up Robertson as well
Kerfoot is NOT the answer there at all and we have no one else , love jumbo and Train but they are limited and more fragile than not ...
We can’t go into the playoffs without a real solid Lefty ...
I know it’s going to cost big time , even for a rental , but , let’s do it and do the Rutherford thing , go out and make it happen , this is the best chance we have had to go deep in forever , I’m good if we lose draft picks snd prospects for it and even lose Sandin
But I wouldn’t lose Robertson or a Lilly because he’s a righty D
Let’s do it Dubas

Last nights game is the definition of "can't win all 82" or "56" this year. Team played well enough to win but couldn't capitalize on scoring changes and Demko was very good last night.
Hutch played to the level you would expect from a 3rd string goalie (part time NHLer), let in 2 bad goals and had shots going through him often. He didn't play well enough to win them the game but with only scoring 1 goal, he did not lose them the game either.

Regroup on Saturday night and show the wide gap between where these 2 teams are currently at. I predict a 2 goal game for Matthews. Go Leafs Go!

Palmieri is in play with Devils ... i know he is right handed but he has skills and a little toughness too

In hindsight, Keefe would’ve been better off rotating more Taxi Squad guys in. Barabanov, Lehronen and/or Liljegren along with Petan may have been the difference. Leave Boyd in and take out Thornton instead maybe the result is different.

Still hard to complain given the overall play and results this season. It was clear fatigue plagued the boys both offensively and defensively. Saturday will be a better effort for sure.

I wouldn’t mind him as the second one , but personally I think we need to go elite high end to match our elite right side
Who ?
I don’t know
I would take a chance on Taylor Hall
But I haven’t a clue what that would entail ?
But I certainly think we should go almost all in for a real stud if possible

I fell asleep after the 1st too and I just watch the games. 4 in 6 is tough. Should have just let the Marlies play.

Ah well, can't win em all. Demko played lights out and Vancouver played a pretty solid game overall. Come back ready for Saturday and get back in the win column

Taylor Hall 2goals 11 assists -6
Willie Styles 10 goals 10 assists +4 and he makes less

People want to run Willy out of town, hope you are not one of them.

No no not at all
This isn’t a reflection on Willy or even about him
If you go back on the lead up posts regarding how much I think we need a elite left winger for the playoffs and who ? What ? How much ? I don’t know
I’m talking about the left wing as I think it’s our weakest spot right now and a Kerfoot is not the answer
I think that it would enhance both lines especially Willy and JT and also pinch in on the # 1 line to take the pressure off Jumbo and enhance our great opportunity this year in the playoffs

I'm at a big disadvantage as I don't know the game as well as you. I just think Hall is far from the right move. I heard he's been on 4 teams in 6 years. I ask myself why are teams having a difficult time hanging on to this Gem. He signed a one year show me contract with the Sabres, it looks like he hasn't shown much but what do I know. I'm not being sarcastic, I never played at a high level but if people such as yourself figure he'd be a good move, ok.

Considering they played the Oilers the night before, it was expected. Let the Canuck fans enjoy it, after all they don't have much to cheer about

Your not wrong in your assessment of his past other than a monster year and one pretty good one and a lot of Meh ones
He’s just one option of a few ...
Sometimes reclamation projects can work out and on sports there’s always people willing to give them tries ...
I just feel that with the possibility of the notion of winning a cup and playing with elite players it may ( May ) May turn out good for everyone
But like I said there are more options out here

I thought the Leafs played well and deserved to win. Difference was Hutch letting in shit goals and Demko standing on his head. And the bounces didn’t go Leafs way.

all in all very impressed to be honest after 4 in 6 or whatever it was and let down spot they still came out playing to win. Much different team than years past

lol man we can't afford to have him injured; I will take him being benched or fatigued over him being injured.

I also hope they are not forcing Matthews to play through any injuries. we got a solid cushion they gotta let guys rest up and be 100% before they are good to go
Personally and it’s definitely with hindsight and obviously not being in the pros and also not knowing the inside scoop and with the highest respect to Keefe and all his golden decisions thus far .
I think he made one of his very very few mistakes last night ..
Knowing what we just came through and playing b2b and then on Saturday again and knowing the type of game it probably was going to be and it was
I think if he had to do it all over again
I humbly think he would have sat Jumbo and Spezz and Bojo and made other changes in ?

I think they should rest Joe now and again, especially in back to backs. Let younger players take his place, and play Joe when he's rested and fresh.
