Every team wants to score more, but we scored the same amount of goals as our opponent in the game. That doesn't show that we didn't come to play. When you score the same number of goals as your opponent in a game, you should still be alive.
No we didn't score the same amount as our opponent. We scored 1 goal not 2. Your just upset. Goal didn't stand so bringing it as a way to excuse the loss is typical leaf home behavior

Just a question. Watching the way Moore was playing for LA its unfortunate the Leafs gave up on him so quick. I think he is something that missing in the bottom 6. IMO the one the keys to this game and series is the difference in bottom 6 forwards.
Moore was a good player here, but had unfortunate timing

When the roster spot opened up for him, he’d get injured so we never really got to see him. We also got Campbell out of that trade so it wasn’t all bad, however he is a very good middle six player on a team with a promising future

Oh please, they've already had their weak opponents in Montreal and Columbus and look how that turned out. They'd find a way to lose to Dallas and LA too.

They had the easiest route to the cup theyre ever gunna have last year, and just like everything else they squandered it
I wish this current crop of Leaf stars fought and battled as hard in the playoffs as they do at the contract negotiating table.

I wonder where the Leafs would be if they left Tavares alone, kept drafting and developing, and did a proper rebuild? Kyle Dubas‘ decisions have made it so difficult.

Tavares contract isn't great, but he was UFA, and was always going to get overpaid.

The problem was the other double digit contracts which has hamstrung the team from landing another top 6 winger.

Unfortunately, I think they might have someone but he went back to college.

How are we STILL bitching about losing I the 1st round???

How can this team not manage to win 1 f***ing round

They can't close a team out. Why does the offense always go MIA in the do or die game

Winning 4 playoff games is no accomplishment at all. Leafs are treating losing in the 1st like they have been through war. They can't even meet the lowest of expectations.
This is what happens if a team just doesn't advance in two full decades. The bar has been set to the lowest level ever and the team still hasn't been able to meet that bar.

But do the Leafs really play in the NHL, or are they in the WWE where the refs are told by script (made by Vince) on who will be the winner and that they have to screw over the other team (Brett Hart/Sean Michaels).

Perfect example, although I didn't watch it but I heard that a high sticking penalty was reviewed in the Kings/Oilers game last night. Yep, see what you wanna see, review what you wanna review so your team wins.

Why doesn't Vince just buy out the NHL, but then he'll probably do the same as Bettman, why try to improve where sales are already going crazy (and the more they lose, the higher the sales), it's all business.

I don’t blame the refs. Leaf had chances to close it out. I think it all goes back to that game 4. The attitude leaving was it’s okay it’s one game and we had a good road trip.

That's a good observation. Game 4 was the warning sign that the team had learned nothing. They were happy to piss away that game because they won game 3, that's just not a winning mentality. You can mail in a few games when you are the back to back champs, not when you are supposed to be the hungrier team with zero success to hang your hat on.

They never should have signed him. There were lots of people saying at the time that he was not the player they needed. The inexperienced Dubas misread the situation and it has cost the Leafs.

Exactly. This team should be the benchmark for other teams. The team that everyone fears. We should be competing for Stanly Cups. Yet we aee happy to win a round, even that we cant do

Trading Kadri, Kapanen. Losing JVR, Hyman to nothing

Tampa gets Nick Paul and Hagel. We get Blackwell

Florida picks up Bennett last year for 2nd round. We get Foligno

Florida picks up Giroux we get Blackwell

Kase Spezza Mikayev Engvall Kampf are just too soft to be bottom 6

It'll keep happening while Betman is in charge. Don't those refs fear for their lives when they screw teams over so blatantly. There are lots of nuts out there and one of them might be so sick of this same old crap.
Nonsense.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Why didn’t Muzzin get a stick on him? <br><br>Oh, because Killorn ripped it out of his hands. <br><br>But JT gets a goal called back because of Holl standing there. <br><br> <a href="https://t.co/u57wr2CQ9a">pic.twitter.com/u57wr2CQ9a</a></p>&mdash; Dman (@LifeofaDman) <a href="">May 15, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Killorn blatantly falls on Muzzins stick then holds on to it and rips it out of his hands

If you had told the dubas fan boys in 2018 that after dubas being gm for 4 years we would lose in the first round to the bruins, the jackets (po qualifier), the Habs (lmao) and Tampa, I doubt any of them would want dubas hired.

Yet hers we are 4 years later and they are literally giving kyle praise.

I have no idea who they should bring in to replace Shanahan and Dubas (I truly hope they are fired). Too bad Masai wouldn’t also take over for the Leafs. He’s a proven winner (yes, I know it’s in basketbal, but I believe he could also build a winner in hockey).
