Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose 5-2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I’m not some fan saying we are great or winning the cup.

I just laugh at the hysteria after losses.
Laugh all you want but this team has played dreadful hockey even in games they’ve won. They don’t put in a consistent 60 minute effort where all four lines contribute. When was the last time you saw a dominant performance by this team? The goaltending has to be all world for them to win.

Marner will save them from themselves by walking if they have no playoff success. He's done being the whipping boy. He'll go to a team where the fans will treat him like a God.
Can he turn a 20 goal scorer into a 40 goal scorer? He may score 25 and provide good D, he isn’t worth near the money the fans around here think. Isles may offer him a ton to get their retribution. Maybe the Pens, I can’t see any other team taking on a contract that size for what he will produce.

My brother picked up and moved to Cyprus 2-3 years ago. His wife was born there and came here at the age of 5. She has family there so he had visited 3 times in the past 10 years or so and loved it.

I visited the island in 2023 and loved it too. Every place has pros and cons. Cyprus will always have that Turks vs Cypriots/Greek civil unrest on the island but boy is it ever a beautiful place and the people are friendly.

Right handed driving on the left side of the road was a challenge when I rented a vehicle and let's not even talk about the amount of roundabouts there.
I love roundabouts, I always do an extra lap or so

Losing to the bottom feeders in spectacular fashion is the identity of this team. It's honestly comical how good and consistent they are at it.

Strength of schedule is meaningless for this team. These squandered points are why they eventually don't end up with favorable match-ups in the spring, they lack killer instinct.

I was in Cyprus and Israel 2 years ago. ROundabouts are great. I think there are no traffic lights in the whole city of Eilat. The traffic lights in th GTA are insanely brutal. It's surprising we don't have even more gridlock with the ridiculous traffic lights timings here.

Utah would be a great fit for him I could see him exploring that team if he gets to FA
I doubt the Miss’s will like Sault Lake City, San Jose is more the style of a superstar imo. Utah’s beautiful though, loved everything about it the times I’ve been there…….

From a bunch of crash outs, who have never played the game, or know shit.

We win - 4 pages.
We lose - 15 pages.

Enjoy your shouting and blaming random players and theories.

If fans hate them so much - stop watching. Since the majority have literally no idea what they are watching.
wish there was a down vote for this post

Even with this loss, they will still win the division and get Ottawa.
Maybe if they hadn't lost all those 'meaningless' games to bottom feeders they wouldn't have to hope to squeak into 1st place?
If it all comes down to the remaining two games vs Florida they're in trouble.
