Did you see him skating back on the first Fantilli SH goal? He very well could be.

I thought none of McCabe, Matthews, or Hildeby played that goal well either.

We got 6 games left till 4 nations maybe give Morgan an early vacay let him spend some time with his family go somewhere hot. Matt Murray needs to be called up yesterday. Other than that boys played well can’t win em all, hope Knies is ok he’s a game changer. Go Leafs Go!

Only real complaints are Hildeby looking bad and annoyance at the powerplay for not converting, especially when we had 2 of them before Columbus got their first goal. Could’ve been a whole different game if special teams didn’t stink.

Oh and Knies getting hurt. Really hope it was just precautionary taking him out of the game.

Also, hockey is a game of errors. They buried chances and we had weak and ill timed bad goals against. Killed momentum and tilted the game.

Good effort. Most were solid to good.

Elbow hits first, but unless he fractured it he'd be back out if it was a contusion only. The wincing on bench I think shoulder. Hope its not seperated at all. The ac absorbs the elbow hit.

Don't want to make too much out of the Reaves fight, cuz it was generally inconsequential - but for homie to pick Olivier for his first fight of the year - was.. a choice! Hahaaa..

Moreso though, nobody has said it so I guess I will - the 4th line was kinda stellar all night long! They had as much sustained o-zone time as any line in the game tonite, and if any one of them had any finish whatsoever or were just facing a different goalie then we did tonite, they woulda cashed a couple. Kinda impressed, ngl.

Hildeby didn't have a very good game, but this isn't on him. We scored one goal, and it was midway through the third. We just couldn't finish tonight, and didn't defend well. Hildeby having a bad game sure didn't help.

I like Hildeby, and he's been great elsewhere, but he's just not NHL ready yet. Maybe Murray or AA next time, and give Hildeby more starts in the minors.

At $1.25M/goal Domi isn't the worst $/g in the league but he's close.

I wouldn't call that getting bang for your buck. With only three goals on the season there isn't a third line centre with less and most fourth liners have more. Fantilli got that many in this game alone

Some fans might be happy with Domi's production but Treliving shouldn't be.

Reaves finally decided to earn a paycheque. Too bad the rest of the team couldn't be bothered. Hildeby would've needed a shutout to win this game.

Columbus just wanted it more I guess.

The stick swap between Matthews and Merzlikins is one of the funniest things I've seen in a hockey game. I was hoping he would score. If anyone in the league could pull it off it would be Matthews.

I doubt Domi could score on a breakaway with the net empty.

I thought we played a great game tbh. Their goalie was good and lucky, ours was pure shit. Made a couple of mistakes in our own end, by the usual suspects. Rielly right now is useless offensively and defensively. Domi is alarmingly bad in his own zone. Timmins is NOT an NHL defenceman. These games happen when you have your 3rd stringer in net who can’t cover up defensive mistakes. A lot of our success is predicated on our great goaltending. Our offence and PP can’t cover up shitty goaltending.

May be time to look at moving Reilly. Timmins has sucked for a # of games. Looks like rge Big 4 on D are Tanev - OEL

man this group just loves getting "goalied". for a team with 47m in 4 forwards you'd think we'd breeze to at least top 5 in goals.....I guess not

also love how the broadcast always reiterates "can't rely on 34, 16, 88 for all the offence". I completely disagree with that statement and expect them to be the ones to provide alot of it, matthews makes the 2nd most marner will make top 5, and nylander is top 10. I expect two 110-120 point players and another 100 point player, and so far only one of them has lived up to their end of the bargain. The f***ed up part is that its the one guy I don't want to sign rn.

1. Skating speed...slow to very slow
2. The number of bad passes when he has an opportunity to shoot
3. The number of times he lifts his right leg as a fake deke
4. Cheap shots
5. The best use of 160 feet of rink
6. How to take advantage of local celeb status to receive $$$ without earning it
